Children and the Pandemic

How can we help our little ones and teens get through this pandemic without any “scars” or PTSD?  It is hard enough for us as adults to keep our stress levels low, and to adapt to the ever changing “new normal”.

For children who are like sponges and look to us for guidance and answers, this can be a very stressful time.  It can even alter their personalities, perspectives and self confidence.  Add to the pandemic the chaotic political atmosphere and it will be a small miracle for all these kids not to end up in therapy in their 30s trying to figure life out.  (Just think of the potential for germaphobia)

I was at the beach this summer when a mother was leaning over to her 4 year old daughter and said:  “now stay away from people, they are dangerous”.  I knew what the mom meant, but think about that lasting impression on the 4 year old little girl:  PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS.

So many children have not been allowed to see grand parents and other role models and mentors in their lives.  They have not been able to play with their friends, or have the opportunity to make new friends.  They have had to hamper their evolving social skills.  Now with school starting and no one knowing whether it will be in person learning, virtual learning, or a hybrid (seems to change on a daily basis), children have little to no stability or routine.  Sports are cut dramatically, no recess, eat at your desk, wear a mask, etc etc.

What can we do?  Energy healing is the answer.  There are so many modalities of energy healing around, please find one for the children in your life.  What is so great about energy healing is that it is not “talk therapy”.  The child/teen does not have to sit still in front of an adult he or she may or may not know and talk about things.  With energy healing you ask the body what it needs to heal and the body, via the subconscious mind, will tell you exactly what it needs to release.  Energy healing is just as effective remotely as it is in person.  You can release negative emotions and energies, stress, loneliness, fear…

The Emotion Code & Body Code are perfect examples of how energy healing can help keep kids in a positive energy flow, releasing all that does not serve them.   This is a great gift to give to any child/teen.

Some side affects of Emotion & Body Code: better sleep, more focus, positive attitudes, less temper tantrums, removal of stress & fear, it has even helped clear acne!

Now’s the Time

You are doing a great job trying to abide by the social distancing rules, staying home and keeping your spirits up.

COVID-19 has become our Kryptonite but we can all don our superman / superwomen capes to fight and regain our freedom once again.  There are many modalities out there that can help keep your immune system up and also help heal you from the Corona Virus.  As an example, Biofeedback has the codes for the Corona Virus and Firefly Within is offering a free bio feedback session for anyone who has tested positive.

You know one of my favorite modalities is tapping, please continue to tap to ease your fears and anxieties as that can lower your immune system.  Emotion Code can release trapped emotions surrounding the unknown of the virus and quarantine time and the Body Code can find imbalances in your body to keep your body strong.  Did you know that your spirit body has a huge impact on your immune system?  If your spirit body is not 100% attached to your physical body, your immune system is not working at its optimal performance.

Now’s the time to check off things on your to do list and your bucket list.  The list of what we need to do by washing our hands, etc, has circulated a lot and for good reason.  Let’s also start to circulate what we can do that takes us away from thinking about or discussing COVID-19, even if just for half an hour.

Now’s the time to:

  • Clean your closets
  • Paint a room or two in your house
  • Write that book you have always said you would write
  • Get in touch with friends you haven’t seen in a while. Zoom & FaceTime are great for getting together with friends for a Tuesday Tea, Sunday Brunch or Virtual Game Night.
  • Learn about crystals or essential oils
  • Learn a language
  • Dance
  • Color
  • Paint
  • Read or re-read that great book
  • Learn to cook

This is a time for rebirth.  Take your rebirth as seriously as we have to take the Corona Virus.  If you feel it’s time to reflect and go within, do it now.  If you feel its time to get to know your inner child better, be silly, be inquisitive, be creative, the time is now.

You will get through this, we all will get through this.  Look at all of the beautiful, amazing acts of kindness throughout the planet that are happening now.  Be a part of this movement.  What can you do to brighten someone’s day?  Maybe that someone is you – if so, create flow & movement in your life as we have to stay in place.  YouTube is a great way to learn something.  Always wanted to try Pilates?  There’s a video for that.  Want to organize your drawers and closets like Kon Mari?  There’s a video for that.

Now is your time – focus on that, focus on what you have control over – who knows what you may find out about yourself or a friend or family member!  The elders are shuttered in place, now is the time that they would love to tell you the story of their life.  Write it down, take notes so you can pass it along to the next generation (or even write a book about it!).

We will all be OK, you will be OK.

Finding Your Truth

Finding your truth – you have heard that before right?    But…. What the heck is my truth?

The answer is easy.  Your truth is who you were born to be.  Your truth is:

  • To feel great
  • To be happy
  • To experience joy on a daily basis
  • To live in abundance
  • To allow stressful situations to happen but not stay with you, change you
  • And so much more! (Just think of babies, the sheer joy they have just looking at their parents, the joy for life, for learning, for loving!)

I felt the need to share this as so many clients are writing to me, some even after just one Emotion or Body Code session saying how great they feel.  How relaxed, how happy, less stressed, the list goes on.

Sitting contemplating all of these beautiful stories, it hit me.  Your truth is that we are all put on this planet to experience beauty, joy, love, all the wonderful things that are here to experience.  THAT IS OUR TRUTH!  THAT IS YOUR TRUTH!

Think about how you are living your truth.  Are you trying to dig out from under all the sh@&t people in your life have put on you?

Our parents did the best they could in raising us.  But, they had their own stuff, programming, whatever you want to call it, from their parents and their life stories.  Our relatives, teachers, friends, the media, all of the thousands and thousands of people that have put their little bit of sh@&t on us….. Well, that’s a lot of sh@&t!  and that’s how we lose our truth, the real us.

Get your truth back!

How?  Release & Heal.  My clients have had success with the Emotion & Body code sessions given to them.  There are so many modalities out there, find one, or two and stick with them.  You will be able to uncover, discover and LOVE the REAL you – living your TRUTH!

New decade, new office space!

2020 is a wonderful year, full of abundance!  Over the last few years you may have been experiencing some challenges, this was all leading up to the year of YOU! 2020!

Be kind to yourself this year.  Enjoy more PMS!  (present moment state)

Now is the time to really go for it!  Go within, get assistance, meditate…. Realize what it is you really want for 2020.

How do you want to feel in 2020?  That is always a great place to start.

If you want:

To feel financially abundant:  what small steps can you make today, this week, this month to begin to achieve it?  What is the it you are trying to achieve?  A retirement fun?  A savings account?  A new car?  What will it feel like to have what you want?  It’s so important to be clear on what you want to achieve so you can create the actions steps for that creation.

If by the end of the year or whatever time frame you give yourself you haven’t fully achieved it, but you are doing the action steps, well you are that much closer!  Be proud of yourself instead of listening to the negative mind chatter of woulda, coulda, shoulda!

To feel more grounded:  what does feeling grounded mean to you?  How can you achieve that?

To begin a new career:  what do you want to feel like in a new career?  If you want to be moving more, or giving back more, but you are at a desk job, what type of work can you do that will allow you to feel the way you want to feel when you get up on a work day, get home from a work day, go to sleep after a work day.

Live the way you want to feel.  Want to stop the negative mind chatter?  How does the negative mind chatter make you feel?  How do you want to feel?  What do you need to change, add, or create to get that feeling?  There are so many tools you can use to achieve this.  Tapping & Emotion Code to name a few.

You get the idea.  It’s time for action!  Its up to you, don’t leave your happiness & wellbeing to someone else.  Be clear, write it down, create action steps.

Here is a little tip for those who are in colder climates to stay healthier this winter season.  Did you know?

Saunas have many health benefits and some studies show that regular saunas can reduce your chance of getting a cold by 30 percent. In addition, infrared saunas have even been shown to help prevent a cold from getting worse. One of the reasons is that a sauna-induced fever may stimulate the immune system to increase production of white blood cells and antibodies.
